This policy explains how Leanlife Healthcare Private Limited ("Lean Life", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website, call or message us, or receive care through Lean Life. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.

Who we are

Lean Life is a medical weight-loss platform operated by Leanlife Healthcare Private Limited (CIN U47720MH2026PTC476102). We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

  • Health information: height, weight, BMI, medical history, current medicines, test reports, InBody results, consultation notes and prescriptions. We treat this as sensitive personal data.
  • Booking and payment details: appointments, programmes and invoices. Payments are processed by our payment partner; we do not store your full card or bank details.
  • Communications: messages, call logs and notes from our advisors.
  • Technical and usage data: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, cookies, and the advert or link that brought you to us.

How we collect it

From forms on our website, our eligibility check, phone calls, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook messages and lead forms, consultations, tests and visits to our clinic, and from cookies when you browse our site.

How we use it

  • To answer your questions and call you back.
  • To book, run and follow up your consultations, tests and programme.
  • For our doctors to assess you, prescribe if appropriate and monitor your treatment.
  • To send appointment reminders, test results, prescriptions and check-ins by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To take payments and issue invoices.
  • To measure and improve our services and advertising.
  • To send you health information and offers, only if you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including keeping medical records.

We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you submit a form, book a consultation or start treatment, or where the law otherwise allows. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done, and we may then be unable to continue your care.

Who we share it with

  • Our doctors and care team, who need your information to treat you.
  • Laboratories and pharmacies involved in your care.
  • Service providers who host our website and records, run our phone, WhatsApp, video consultation, booking and payment systems, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, which receive limited information to measure our adverts. We never share your health information with them.
  • Authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices, including access controls, encryption in transit and staff confidentiality obligations. Some of our service providers may store data on servers outside India, as permitted by Indian law. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Medical records are kept for at least the period required by law and medical regulations. Enquiry data that does not lead to treatment is deleted once we no longer need it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
  • Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data, subject to our legal duty to keep medical records.
  • Withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep the website working, understand how it is used and measure our adverts. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.
